On certain vehicles, a weld at the boost sensor bracket may fail, allowing the bracket to separate from the air inlet tube. If this occurred, the engine would enter fail-safe driving mode, resulting in reduced motive power in which the vehicle could still be driven for short distances. Continued operation could cause the engine to stall which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the air inlet tube assembly

On certain vehicles, the zinc coating applied to the positive battery terminal stud bolt (during the manufacturing process) may be thicker than desired. This could result in a voltage drop that may cause difficulty starting the engine. This can also damage the Engine Control Module (ECM), which could cause the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the positive battery terminal

On certain vehicles, the engine oil cooler stud (onto which the oil filter is mounted) could fail. This could cause an engine oil leak, which could illuminate the instrument panel's engine oil warning lamp. Abnormal noise and rough engine performance may also be noticed and, in the worst case, the engine could fail and stop suddenly while the vehicle is in motion. Engine failure would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the engine oil cooler connector stud
